Also having a hammer handy to push the metal shelves over the plastic attachments will Def. help.Tips: make sure when you attach the plastic attachments the arrow is pointing upwards on it.Issues: a small part of the top shelf was broken.. But not very noticeable. Overall it's what I expected just not as heavy as I imaginedOne shelf frustrated. I really do not like this design. This is my second shelf system with the plastic clips that act as wedges that wrap around the poles. The shelves slide down over each of the 4 poles and then wedge themselves into place over top the plastic wraps. In theory it's a simple and effective design that is hard for the end user to get wrong. You literally grab any two plastic wrapsand wrap them around the pole. These shelves are not adjustable though as others are. There's a divit. The wraps fit Into the holes and have only one possible option. Nearly impossible for the end user to get wrong. I however broke several clips trying to slide one shelf into place before I finally realized the shelf had one part welded Into place upside down such that it could not slide down over the plastic wedges. Eventually I recognized the error and made that shelf the top shelf. As I intended the top shelf for a cat bed anyway, I had pre-planned to screw it to the wall anyway so I chose not to return this defective shelf. Check the holes on the selves before you try to assemble this unit and ensure they are welded right side up. The top of the hole should be slightly narrower than the bottom. The slight flare or bell angle is what helps hold the shelf in place. Make sure there is no error in manufacturing of those holes to avoid a lot of frustration. Check the poles also. Some sections belong on the bottom and some on the top. Dont just rip open the bags helter skelter. I gave fewer stars because of manufacturing error and quality control issues not because of design. Though I am not a fan of the design, when manufactured properly it would garner more stars than I gave it.I had to use pliers to affix the plastic clips so the shelves could be added but aside from that assembly was ease enough. It took me about 15 minutes. It fits great in the area I'd wanted it in my tiny kitchen. I'm happy with the purchase and buy another, if needed.Perfect size for where I needed to put it. A bit over priced but was the only rack I could find with the right measurements.I used this product to provide additional space in my kitchen since my living space is small. It was a good investmentAssembly took awhile to understand at first, but straightforward once it was clear. WATCH THE VIDEO FOR INSTRUCTIONS! I thought it seemed silly that the plastic caps were not touching, but it’s supposed to be that way. When putting the racks on the bars, push down with force so the plastic caps aren’t showing. I keep seeing other reviews that the plastic caps are fully out - those racks just aren’t pushed all the way in or maybe their plastic caps were put backwards so it doesn’t fit the hole properly. After the first (bottom) rack is put, make sure the feet are leveled! I didn’t level mine and it’s hard to fix it and take it all apart once it’s done.Rack is lightweight, but the bars on the side aren’t straight making it look slightly angled and unaligned. Put mine in the pantry closet so I don’t have to look at the slightly slanted rack all the time.Overall, 3.5 stars. Definitely not worth the $50 but gonna use it since I already built it.The shelving unit was easy enough to assemble - took 15 minutes maybe. It will be sturdy enough for what I will be using it for however it’s not a $60 shelf. Will I keep it and use it? Yes. Will I pay $60 for it again?? No.Laundry soapI ordered 5 tier black and I got silver chrome ! The box was very light couldn’t believe it was even in there the quality of the product was not what I was expecting for the price . The shelf is very springy when you push down on it and the poles are super light I would not recommend this product for anything heavy I’m using it for clothes so guess it’s fine . Wish I got the colour I actually ordered and price is to high for the quality of this product .I am using this shelfing unit in my pantry to put cans of food, etc. on it. I needed this unit as the size just fits in the cabinet. Larger sized units are more sturdy I am sure but will not fit for me. The unit was assembled easily. The shelfs are somewhat flimsy so while cans of food are fine, I would not put anything heavier on the unit. What helps is thin piece of wood say to spread the weight over the shelf. I am only using a thin silicone shelf paper so things don't tip if it does not line up with rails and it is holding my food, cans etc without any problems. But just know if you say push on a shelf with your hands, you can feel the give as the rails are thin. But again works fine for my purposes. There was a small piece of soft metal sticking out on one corner that I snapped off easily. probably from a weld, this is not an expensive unit and so quality is as expected. Overall I am very happy as it fits and works for what I want.Extremely easy to assemble, but the build quality is a bit questionable. The sturdiness of the wire mesh can be improve, as it bends a bit if you put a smidgeon of heavy load (stacks of coffee cans, peanut butter, synthetic oils and jams etc). Price should be reduced to fit the stability and quality of said product.I've seen metal storage shelves before so I was fooled by the photographs. They look like the sturdy variety but they are cheap and flimsy. They feel like light-weight aluminum and I bent three of the shelves just trying to position them over the plastic mounts. Not to mention that I ordered metallic finish and they sent black. I would be extremely disappointed except these were a temporary storage solution until I renovate a bathroom. Once that project is done, these are going to charity or the scrap heap.Yup, should have read the reviews on this. Would have returned in a heartbeat if I didn't destroy the packaging. Non adjustable shelfs, the cheap plastic inserts do are exposed and uneven after shelfs installed. Need to beat them down with a hammer and still crooked and wobbly. Not even worth 10% of price. Absolute crap. There should be a law against selling this kind of junk.
