I originally bought these to use these in my smaller kitchen cupboards. I do use one to put my juice glasses under and then I put other stuff I use in that area on top and to the side. I can get more in that small shelf. It helped me get some items off the kitchen counter that don't need to be there all the time. I struggle to keep my desk top organized so I use the other one there as it doesn't take up as much desk space and I only have certain items that can go under it. I really like it because it is attractive and the color matches the color of the desk well. I think these shelves are great for small cupboards or any open space (desktop, countertop, etc.) where you would like to free up some space. The only suggestion to anyone considering a purchase of this item is to make sure you have enough items to fit underneath the shelf or it will be a waste. I've used the regular size kitchen shelves in my bathroom and storage cupboards as well because I can store more stuff in it without it being impossible to get to some items. I love these types of shelves because they have helped me be less frustrated to getting items out of cupboards and closets. I love this product!
