I bought 2 of these almost two years ago. They've been happily sitting on my counter for all that time with sugar and rice. Decided I needed another set for flour and more/different rice so ordered a couple more. Not sure what happened over the last 2 years but the lids are WAY harder to close than my first set. I think anyway. Maybe they just get better over time? Takes a bit of manual force to get them closed but definitely worth it in the long run. I'm extremely happy with them, even with the difficult lids, and won't hesitate to buy another set if the need arises.And yes, as other reviews have stated, packaging could be a little better as they are difficult to separate but it only took a couple minutes with another helpful set of hands.
